DUSHANBE, November 10, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Tajik Minister of Defense Sherali Khairulloyev today met here with visiting India Army Chief Vijay Kumar Singh, who arrived in Dushanbe yesterday evening on a working visit, Faridoun Mahmadaliyev, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense (MoD), said.

According to him, the sides discussed issues related to military-technical cooperation between the two countries, training of personnel for Tajik national army and interaction between armed forces of Tajikistan and India in combating international terrorism.

During his stay in Tajikistan, Gen V.K. Singh is scheduled to visit Tajik Military Institute, hospital and one of training grounds of Tajik MoD.

Tomorrow, the Indian Army Chief General V.K. Singh will hold talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, the MoD spokesman said.
