DUSHANBE, April 6, 2011, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon introduced a number of staff changes on April 5.

Anvar Taghoymurodov, formerly head of the Interior Ministry organized crime control department (UBOP), was appointed Deputy Minister of Interiors.

Rajab Mahmadaliyev was appointed Deputy Commander of National Guard of Tajikistan.

Besides, chiefs of police departments in Roshtqala, Qairoqqum, Jabborrasulov and Baljuvon as well as commanders of some military units were replaced.

Mukhtor Nematov was appointed Executive Director of the Road Rehabilitation Project Implementation Unit.

Jalil Piriyev, who had previously bee Director of the Institute of Rural Economics at the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was appointed to head the agriculture and land tenure department within President’s Executive Office.
