DUSHANBE, May 18, 2011, Asia-Plus — Deputies of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament have endorsed a bill requiring amendments to the RT Law “On the National Budget for 2011.”

Speaking at a May 18 sitting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Finance Minister Safarali Najmiddinov noted that under the amendments made to the national budget, special property delivered to the country for the National Guard of Tajikistan this year would be exempted from taxes and customs duties.  “This will allow the National Guard to save some 1.3 million somoni,” the minister noted.

The Majlisi Namoyandagon also ratified a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Pakistan on aerial communication and an interstate agreement on interaction between the CIS nations in ensuring safeguarding persons liable to state guarding.
