DUSHANBE, May 23, 2011, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon yesterday visited Khuroson district, Khatlon province to get acquainted with the process of rehabilitation of vineyards and gardens in the Fakhrobod area, according to the presidential press service.

Over the past one and a half year, farmers from the Asadullo Farm have reportedly rehabilitated 601 hectares of gardens and vineyards that had fallen into decay after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The head of state expressed satisfaction with the process of rehabilitation of gardens and vineyards in the Fakhrobod area and ordered to set up a center for exchange of experiences in development of gardens and vineyards on the basis the Asadullo Farm.

During his stay in Khuroson district, President Rahmon also met with residents of the Dahanakiik jamoat (community) and participated in planting trees and watermelons in the area, the source said.
