DUSHANBE, June 20, 2011, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has permitted the Mir TV Cannel to organize in Dushanbe activities dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (GPW) of 1941-1945.

The events will be held under the motto of “Duty of Memory.”  Events and live TV broadcast dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Mourning that marks the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) will take place in Dushanbe’s Victory Park on June 22, from 1:00 am to 7:00 am, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office said.

The Dushanbe mayor also ordered the Dushanbe police directorate to take adequate measures to ensure the maintenance of public order in the place where the events will take place.
