KULOB, July 15, 2011, Asia-Plus — Electricity supply has been resumed to ten border villages in the Langardara jamoat of Khatlon’s Shouroobod district.

Mirzo Ismoilov, head of the Kulob regional power supply network, told Asia-Plus Friday afternoon that it has become possible due to major repairs made to the substation.

“We have hired skilled specialists to maintain the substation and power transmission line,” Ismoilov said, adding that villagers have even agreed to make prepayments for electricity.
