DUSHANBE, August 1, 2011, Asia-Plus — Poulod Qodirov has retired from his position as head coach of the Tajikistan national soccer team, the Football Federation of Tajikistan (FFT) reported on August 1.

“The FFT Executive Committee met on August 1 and decided to accept the resignation of Poulod Qodirov,” the source said.

According to him, the national soccer team coach has retired, following the last failed matches of the Tajik national soccer team against Syria in the second qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup.

The new head coach of the Tajikistan national soccer team must be elected at the next session of the FFT Executive Committee, the source added.
