DUSHANBE, August 8, 2011, Asia-Plus – A Russian climber from St.Petersburg died on Saturday, August 6, in Jirgital.

According to Tajik Ministry of Interior’s press service, Dmitry Pichugin, a 23-year-old citizen of St.Petersburg, died in 40m fall on Peter the First range when he was climbing the Krupskaya peak.

“The hiker died after falling and suffering multiple injuries,” the source reported.

Following medical examination the climber’s body was delivered to the Dushanbe morgue.
