Dushanbe, August, 15, 2011, Asia-plus – 34 pcs of fire-arms were handed over voluntarily by inhabitants of administrative centre of Gorno Badahshan Autonomous Region –Khorogh city.
According to «AP» in the press centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, voluntary delivery of small arms became the result of explanatory works, which was carried out by police officers with the population of Khorogh.
In particular four manual machine guns “Kalashnikov” were handed over, 11 submachine guns Kalashnikov, one carbine of mark СКС YN, three carbines of foreign manufacture, three carbines of system “Бур”, 11 pistols Makarov, one pistol of foreign manufacture of mark ERMA WARKE.
By the way, weapon delivery has been taken place on the eve of visit of the president of the country Emomali Rahmona in GBAR. As «AP» was informed at the government of the countriy, E.Rahmon will depart to the Region with working visit tomorrow, 16 August. He will take part in opening ceremonies of anniversary facilities and will meet activities group of the Region.
Administrative centre of GBAR recently became a carrying out place of unapproved meetings of the relatives dissatisfied with sentences of the Local courts.
On June, 15, 2011 there were gathered more than 500 people, basically young men in front of the administration building of Khorogh. Participants of the protest action demanded from bodies of court and Office of Public Prosecutor not to admit infringements of their rights. Meeting has been provoked by events, which occurred in Khorogh on June, 10, 2011 when unknown persons beat the Deputy of regional court, the judge, and also have caused a considerable damages to buildings of GBAR court and Office of Public Prosecutor of Khorog.
Thus, they expressed the disagreement on the verdict of court taken out on June, 10, 2011 concerning 29-year-old Kayon Rahimhudoev, who was recognised guilty for murder and sentenced to 9 years of deprivation freedom. Then young men have started to smash studies of judges, the working stocks, windows and put a material damage to the court building in the amount of 20 thousand somoni. Without having calmed down on it, group of hooligans has approached to the building of Office of Public Prosecutor of Khorogh, broke the windows, put a damage in 3 thousand somoni.
