DUSHANBE, October 5, 2011, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon yesterday visited Hisor district.

According to the presidential press service, the president attended a ceremony of introducing the first line of a spinning mill into operation.

US$12 million have been spent for construction of this enterprise, which is equipped with the state-of-the-art Italian technologies.  Its capacity is still 4,000 tons of cotton fiber per year but introduction of the second line into operation will bring the enterprise’s annual capacity to 8,000 tons of cotton fiber.  To-date, the enterprise has created 180 new jobs for local residents but introduction of the second line into operation will increase the number of new jobs to 260.

Besides, the head of state participated at the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a textile factory there.

Rahmon also familiarized himself with the pace of construction of an enterprise for production of cotton clothes that will create more than 1,000 new jobs.

The president also laid the symbolic first stone of the building for the Institute of Light Industry and got acquainted with the pace of construction of the metallurgy plant.  The first line of this plant is expected to be introduced into operation in 2012.While visiting the Mirzo Rizo jamoat, Emomali Rahmon familiarized himself with work of the stock-farm, Barakati Chorvodor.

During the meeting with district administrators, the head of state ordered to work out the municipal redevelopment plan for the district administrative center within three months.  He also noted that the 3,000th anniversary of Hisor would be celebrated in 2015.  1 20,000-seat stadium, an amusement park, new library, palace of culture, presidential lyceum and museum will be constructed in Hisor by that important event.  Besides, the Hisor Fortress historical and cultural reserve will be restored at the expense of presidential reserve fund.

During the meeting with the district administrators, Rahmon offered to name the complex of textile enterprises in Hisor “Fayzi Istiqlol” (The Blessing of Independence), the source said.
