DUSHANBE, February 14, 2012, Asia-Plus  — On Monday February 13, President Emomali Rahmon met with Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev and heads of relevant ministries and organizations to discuss issues related to ensuring the regular work of the country”s economy during winter period, preparations for the spring sowing campaign and improvement of cities and settlements, the presidential press service reports.

Dushanbe mayor and ministers reported on measures taken to provide the population, economic, social and cultural facilities with fuel, passenger transport services and communal service as well as to solve other issues.

The president pointed to the necessity of tackling problems connected with providing electricity, removing snow from streets and curbing food price hikes, the source said.
