On April 11, two men were found guilty in death of a traffic police officer.

Ozodbek Odinaev was sentenced to 10 years in prison while Saidmuhtor Mirojonov got 9 years, relatives of Ravshan Sharipov, dead police officer, told the AP in the telephone conversation. Prosecutors demanded exactly the same terms of imprisonment. The court also applied the Law “On amnesty” thanks to which the terms of imprisonment for the two were reduced by one third.

The two were accused of crimes specified by the Article 237 part 2 sections “b”, “c” and “g” of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan (Hooliganism), Article 32 part 3 and Article 320 part 2 (Attempted bribery), Article 328 part (Violence against public agent), Article 108 part 1 (Causing death through inattentiveness).
