Two persons with disabilities arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, Tajik Ministry of Interior told the AP.

According to the report, the police have arrested a couple, a 52-year-old man and his 49-year-old wife, both residents of Jomi region of Khatlon province, on suspicion of drug trafficking.

“The police have seized more than 2kg of heroin and 1.2kg of hashish from the arrested man’s wheelchair,” the source has said, stressing that the couple already has previous criminal records under Article 200 part 2 (drug trafficking with the purpose of further sale) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan.

A criminal case was launched, investigation is under way.
