According to Uzbekneftgaz National Holding Company, gas supplies to Tajikistan were resumed at 00:00 on April 16th 2012 in line with the contract signed between Uztransgaz (a branch office of the Uzbekneftgaz company) and Tajiktransgaz company on April 11, 2012.

Tajik Energy and Industry Ministry confirmed the information about the signing of a new contract between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on natural gas supplies. The details of the contract, however, remain unclear.

Tajiktransgaz company, however, provided no information regarding the issue. According to the source inside the company, senior officials of the company are currently meeting with the Government and will provide their comments later.
