Those measures different government structures of Tajikistan make ahead of many celebrations regarding awarding of those who contributed to rehabilitation of the constitutional order in the republic are immoral. Furthermore, they contradict the principles of the Peace Agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and the United Tajik Opposition signed on June 27, 1997, Deputy Chairman of the Islamic Renaissance party of Tajikistan Mahmadali Hait said in his interview to AP.

He said Tajik authorities should and must have similar approach to participants of the civil war in the country. “However, in recent years the Government strengthens support to representatives of the National Front of Tajikistan and they, being called participants of rehabilitation of the constitutional order, get separate government awards, while former UTO members are not in the list,” he said.

Hait is confident that “peace and consent were established in the country by both sides and the government’s approach to participants of those events should be the same.”

“We urge Tajik government structures not to divide participants of civil confrontation to friends and foes,” Hait said.
