Twenty foreign companies were involved in the construction of Rogun HPP in the first quarter this year.

As reported by the Rogun HPP public corporation, 14 Russian companies, 4 Ukrainian companies, Chinese TBEA and Geokon Inc, were involved in the construction of this strategic facility in the reporting period.

Foreign companies were mainly involved in delivery of equipment. Apart from equipment delivery, Ukrainian and Russian companies were involved in design and survey works and engineering services.

As reported by the Rogun HPP public corporation, a total of 282mln Somoni were attracted to the construction of the hydrosystem in the first quarter this year.

More than 1.7mln Somoni were spent for current expenditures in the reporting period. Therefore, more than 1.4mln Somoni were spent for payment of wages, including 86.000 Somoni for salaries to managers. The remaining funds were spent for other expenditures.

Additionally, at least 40mln Somoni were spent for capital expenditures, including purchase of equipment and other assets.

Expenditures in the context of contractors in the first quarter this year exceed 222mln Somoni. In this context, major portion of funds (197.2mln Somoni) was spent by Rogungesstroi open joint-stock company, Russian Hydroproject Institute (13.8mln Somoni), Trust Hydromontage (1.4mln Somoni) and Somoniyen corporation (1.8mln Somoni).

Closing balance in the reporting period exceeds 17mln Somoni.

More than 1bln 325mln Somoni were allocated from the state budget for construction of this facility in a period from 2007 to 2010. At least 813mln Somoni were allocated from the state budget for the construction of Rogun HPP in 2011. Nearly 245mln Somoni were allocated in the first quarter this year.

More than 202mln Somoni gained from sale of shares were spent for the construction of this facility in 2010.

Nearly 805mln Somoni were deposited to Rogun HPP’s bank accounts in early April this year. Financial assistance made 28.8mln Somoni. Deposit interest made 28.5mln Somoni.

The construction of Rogun HPP is estimated at $2.2bln.
