DUSHANBE, June 12, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Employees of a currency exchange office have been robbed in Dushanbe.

An official website of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) reports the incident took place Monday afternoon near the victims’ house on the Amirshoyev Street.  The assailants armed with pneumatic guns seized 90,000 U.S. dollars, the source says.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.  Minister of Interiors Ramazon Abdurahimov has taken investigation into the case under his control.  Police have reportedly promised cash award for help in the investigation.
