DUSHANBE, June 16, 2012, Asia-Plus  — One more has been arrested in Dushanbe in connection with the deadly New Year”s Eve stabbing attack of Tajik ‘Father Frost.’

An official website of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) reports the 18-year-old resident of Dushanbe Firouz Narzulloyev has been arrested in connection with the deadly New Year’s Eve stabbing attack of a man dressed as Father Frost.

We will recall that the victim, 24-year-old economist Parviz Davlatbekov, had dressed up as Father Frost to please people as he went out to attend a private New Year”s party.  On his way home, Parviz was confronted by a group of young men, at least one of whom stabbed him with a knife, according to Ministry of Interior (MoI).  Parviz later died of his wounds.

Police arrested four persons in connection with the crime.  Two of them – Sharaf Davlatov, Farrukh Samiyev – are university students in their 20s and two others – Behrouz Sharipov and Hasan Abdurashidov — are underage teenagers.

The 16-year-old Behrouz Sharipov was found guilty of killing Parviz Davlatbekov and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in early May.

Sharaf Davlatov and Farrukh Samiyev were sentenced to four years in prison each and Hasan Abdurashidov was punished by a fine in the amount of 100 accounting indices (one accounting index is equal to 40.00 somoni).
