DUSHANBE, June 18, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Ms. Khadicha Hakimova, deputy of Tajikistan lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) died in Dushanbe Monday morning aged 49 after a short illness.

Ms. Hakimova was deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third and the fourth convocations.  She was elected to parliament through the list of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation, Khadicha Hakimova had been deputy chairperson of the Committee on Legislation and Human Rights.  She had also been member of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

Khadicha Hakimova is survived by a husband and four children.
