DUSHANBE, October 12, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s office in Sughd province have reportedly sized a large amount of heroin and hashish in the Spitamen district.

The DCA press office reports that an operation carried out by the drug control officers in the Spitamen district on October 11 led to the arrest of alleged drug peddler.  Four kilograms of heroin and ten kilograms of hashish were confiscated from him.

On the same day, the drug control officers arrested his partner in crime.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against both drug peddlers and an investigation is under way, the source added.
