DUSHAHNBE, November 20, Asia-Plus – Two Tajik nationals – Saodat Ismoilova, 22, from the northern city of Khujand and her niece Zarnigor Ismoilova, 3 – were killed in a fire that broke out in a dormitory in the city of Dolgoprudny, Moscow oblast on November 19.

According to information received from the Tajik migration service agency’s office in Moscow, the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction that occurred in the hardware store located on the first floor of the dormitory.

The Tajik migration service agency’s office in Moscow also reports that Tajik national Zohirjon Tojiboyev, 19, died on November 15 after being brutally beaten by unknown persons in Obninsk, Russia’s Kaluga oblast.  Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way, the source said.
