DUSHANBE December 8, 2012 Asia-Plus  — Tajik Ambassador to Turkey Farrukh Sharipov met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugul Gunay in Ankara on December 5, the Tajik MFA information department reports.

A broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey in fields of culture and tourism were a major topic of the meeting.

The two, in particular, discussed organization of joint exhibitions, training of personnel for Tajikistan’s tourism industry in Turkey as well as holding of days of culture and conferences.

The sides reportedly expressed interest in expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and considered the possibility of launching joint tourist companies.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is a government ministry office of the Republic of Turkey, responsible for culture and tourism affairs in Turkey.  Mr. Ertugul Gunay has headed this ministry since 2008.
