DUSHANBE, May 3, 2013, Asia-Plus – Access to the website of the Islamic Revival Party of Tajikistan (IRP) has been blocked in Tajikistan again.

“The website has been inaccessible within the TJ domain zone since April 25, ahead of jubilee events dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revival Party, when it was announced that the event will be broadcast online,” the IRP representative told Asia-Plus Friday afternoon.  “The website is still inaccessible though the events have already ended.”

As of April 25, the website could be accessed only by using proxy servers, he added.

The Association of Internet Service Providers of Tajikistan neither confirmed nor denied this information.

Before that, Tajik authorities blocked the IRP’s website on March 11.  The site was later unblocked.  The Communications Regulatory Agency head Qadamjon Safiyev said at that time that the IRP’s website was inaccessible for technical problems.
