DUSHANBE, May 6, 2013, Asia-Plus – A Tajik delegation has attended the first Eurasian youth forum in Yerevan, Armenia.

Organized by the CIS Youth Union, the forum took place on April 26.  The main purpose of the event was to draw attention of the young generation to the current problems facing the post-Soviet area and the trends towards development of communities of friendly states.

Delegations Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan attended the forum.

The Tajik delegation member included representatives from the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), Tojik Sodirot Bonk (TSB), Russia-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU), Tajik National University, and Telecom Technology.

According to Tajik central bank’s pres center, the first youth forum of the CIS states titled “One Step Closer” was dedicated to the integration within the Eurasian area.  A number of roundtables were held on the sidelines of the forum.

The forum ended with signing of an agreement on the establishment of the Multinational Movement that will unite youth from different countries around the idea of the Eurasian integration.

The mission of the new movement is to strengthen comprehensive relationship among CIS youth, to consolidate youth organizations in a common field, to work jointly towards preservation of cultural and historical values, health, entertainment, etc.

The CIS Youth Union was created in November 2011 and actively works in various spheres.  One of the main tasks of the Union is to consolidate
