DUSHANBE, May 21 2013, Asia-Plus  — On Tuesday May 21, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon held talks with a number of high-ranking state officials from member nations of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), who arrived in Dushanbe to attend the 38th Annual Meeting of the IsDB Group.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, President Rahmon’s meeting with Kuwaiti Minister of Finance, Mustafa Jassem Al Shamali, focused on economic and investment cooperation between Tajikistan and the State of Kuwait.

The sides reportedly reached an agreement on a list of cooperation documents that will be signed during President Rahmon’s state visit to Kuwait, which is scheduled for the near future.

Tajik president and Kuwaiti minister expressed confidence that Tajik president’s visit to Kuwait will give a new impulse to further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

President Emomali Rahmon and Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank reportedly discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the Bank.

Today, President Rahmon also met with Bangladeshi Minister of Finance, Abu Maal Abdul Muhith.  In the course of the talks, Mr. Abu Maal Abdul Muhith reportedly expressed his country’s readiness for establishment and expansion of mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the two countries.
