DUSHANBE, July 12, 2013, Asia-Plus – By government’s decree Asli Nazarov, formerly head of the Central Power Supply Network within Barqi Tojik, was appointed to head Barqi Tojik, replacing Abdullo Yorov.

Abdullo Yorov was reportedly relieved of his post of head of Barqi Tojik for health reasons.

Barqi Tojik is the state-owned utility responsible for generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in Tajikistan.

We will recall that the government is preparing to restructure Barqi Tojik.  The plan envisages splitting the power company into three entities: generation, transmission, and distribution.

Besides, by president’s decree the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the OSCE, the UN and other international organizations in Vienna, Ismatullo Nasriddinov, was appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Austria pluralistically.
