HUJAND, September 11, 2013, Asia-Plus – Soghd Resident Arrested on Suspicion of Recruiting People for Exploitation.
Soghd Province Interior Directorate reported to Asia-Plus that 35-year-old Babajan Ghafourov District Resident, S.D., was arrested on suspicion of recruiting people for exploitation.
The source said: “Police traced her after two young women aged 20 and 22, residents of Khojand and Babajan Ghafourov District, were taken off the Dubai flight in Dushanbe Airport. It was found that the arrested S.D. was trying to take them out of the country in order to be sexually exploited.”
The source reported: “Criminal case is opened against S.D. based on Article 132, Part 3 (Recruiting People for Exploitation) of the Criminal Code, and investigation continues.”
