DUSHANBE, October 3, 2013, Asia-Plus — On Thursday October 3, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon congratulated Federal President of Germany, Joachim Gauck, on the occasion of the Day of German Unity, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

In his message of congratulations, Tajik president, in particular, expresses satisfaction with the current level of Tajik-German cooperation and stresses that “Germany’s achievements in various areas and increase in its authority on international arena make Tajikistanis glad as well.”

“The Tajik side attaches significance to implementation of agreements reached with Germany and expresses hope that relations between the two nations will develop in the future as well,” the message says.

The Day of German Unity on October 3 is the national day of Germany has been a German national holiday since the reunification in 1990, when the German reunification was brought out in full force.  October 3 is a legal holiday of the Federal Republic of Germany.
