DUSHANBE, October 22, 2013, Asia-Plus – Rasoul Amonullo, who is responsible for recent fatal traffic accident in Dushanbe, has been transported from Germany to Tajikistan, an official source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.

According to him, Rasoul Amonullo injured his hand in that crash and he is currently undergoing medical treatment in one of hospitals in Dushanbe.

“Rasoul Amonullo is being questioned by police officers every day,” the source noted.

We will recall that Rasoul Amonullo was driving his BMW above the speed limit in the wee hours of the morning of October 9 when he struck VAZ 21-04, driven by Allouddin Saidov, 22, cook from Rohat Teahouse.

As a result of the collision, Allouddin Saidov died on the spot and two his passengers – Surayo Ismoilova, 24, and Uktam Mansourov, 25 – died in hospital from injuries sustained the accident, while three other passengers – Shokir Mataliyev, 26, Madina Akramova, 21, and Aziza Rouziyeva, 24 – are in hospital with serious injuries (all of them are employees of Rohat Teahouse).

Criminal proceedings have been instituted under the provisions of Article 212 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – traffic infringement and violation of rules of exploitation of means of transport entailing the death of two and more persons.  If convicted Rasoul Amonullo could face 5 to 10 years in prison.

Rasoul Amonullo is the son of Amonullo Hukumov, the top manager of the state railway company, Tajik Railways.
