QURGHON TEPPA, October 26, 2013, Asia-Plus — Eight illegal migrant workers have reportedly been revealed in the southern Khatlon province.

Mahmoudjon Khorkashev, head of the Tajik migration service agency’s office in Khatlon, says illegal migrant workers from Pakistan were revealed during an operation, dubbed “Illegal Migrant”, which was carried out in the area from September 23 to October 11.     

“The Pakistani nationals did not have work permits.  Administrative action was imposed upon them; they were fined a total of 8,760 somoni,” Khorkashev said.

Besides, one national of Afghanistan and four nationals of China were detained during the operation for violation of rules of stay in Tajikistan, he added.
