DUSHANBE, November 12, 2013, Asia-Plus — The European Week 2013 will be held in Dushanbe and Hisor from November 16-24, according to the Delegation of the European Union to Tajikistan.

The European Week, initiated by the Delegation of the European Union to Tajikistan, has become an integral part of the local cultural life. Through its varied and condensed program, the Delegation emphasizes the presence of the European Union in Tajikistan, intensifying the cooperation between European Union and Central Asia and attracting the attention of the population to the existing cooperation programs. The week is yet another opportunity to promote European values and cultural diversity.

This year, Bactria Cultural Center in partnership with Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation Tajikistan, Goethe Institute in Tashkent, Tajik NGOs IDEA and Dushanbe Art Ground, proposes a wide choice of cultural events, enhancing the importance and vital role of the youth. The motto of the Week:”Youth Leads the Way.”  For increased participation of the youth in major cultural events of the European Week 2013, many ways of  artistic expression are involved, such as  classical music and rock concerts, a cycle of conferences and master classes, German theatre plays readings, visual arts, theater performance, a debate tournament,  etc.
