DUSHANBE, November 13, 2013, Asia-Plus — Foreign high-ranking guests have not been invited to the Tajikistan’s Presidential Inauguration swearing-in ceremony.

President Rahmon is expected to take the oath of office at the sixth joint meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) and the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) that will start at 9:00 am of November 16.

At 11:00 am, President Emomali Rahmon will be inaugurated to his next seven-year term in a ceremony that will take place at the Kokhi Somon Complex in Dushanbe.

Parliamentarians, heads of ministries and agencies, known public figures and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Tajikistan have been invited to the Tajikistan’s Presidential Inauguration swearing-in ceremony.

A military parade will be held in Dushanbe on the occasion of the 2013 presidential inauguration.  More than 7,000 servicemen will march on November 16 after a ceremonial event marking the commencement of a new seven-year term of a president of Tajikistan.

Tajik Defense Minister, Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev, and Commander of the Dushanbe Garrison, Major-General Latif Fayziyev, will command the parade.
