DUSHANBE, December 11, 2013, Asia-Plus — Mirali Dostiyev, formerly First Deputy Minister of Culture, was appointed to head the Opera and Ballet Theater named after Sadriddin Ayni, replacing Kholmahmad Majidov, according the Ministry of Culture (MoC) press center.

Kholmahmad Majidov was appointed Chief Choirmaster of the Opera and Ballet Theater.

People’s Artist of Tajikistan, Mirali Dostiyev served as Director of the Opera and Ballet Theater from 2002 to 2006.
