Tajik authorities raise rates of excise taxes on oil products

DUSHANBE, April 2, 2014, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan’s Government has issued a resolution raising rates of excise taxes on a number of commodities, including oil products.

Under this resolution, the rate of excise tax on separate commodities manufactured in Tajikistan and imported into Tajikistan is raised from 40 euros per ton to 60 euros per ton.

The rate of excise tax on gasoline and other light distillate fuels is raised from 50 euros per ton to 55 euros per ton.

The rate of excise tax on jet engine fuel (aviation kerosene) and other middle distillates is raised from 20 euros per ton to 25 euros per ton.  

The rate of excise tax on heavy distillate fuels (gas oils) is raised from 6.60 euros per ton to 8.00 euros per ton.

This year, Tajikistan plans to import one million tons of oil products from the Russian Federation.
