DUSHANBE, April 11, 2014, Asia-Plus – More than six kilograms of narcotics were seized in two separate operations carried out by police officers in Dushanbe on April 10, the Interior Ministry’s website reported.

Two drug peddlers were arrested by officers from the Interior Ministry’s office in Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district.  982 grams of heroin were confiscated from them.

The operation carried out in Dushanbe’s Sino district reportedly led to the arrest of other drug peddler and 5.160 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from him.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddlers and an investigation is under way.
