DUSHANBE, April 15, 2014, Asia-Plus – On Tuesday April 15, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon laid foundation bricks of four 26-story apartment buildings in Vahdat Township, some 17 kilometers to the east of Dushanbe.

According to the president’s official website, these 1,350 affordable apartments are intended mainly for young families.

A total cost of this project is 500 million somoni and 500 people will be involved in construction of the apartment buildings and upon completion of this construction project some 200 people will be provided with permanent jobs.

Besides, a large clothing enterprise was commissioned in Vahdat on April 15.  1,000 local women will work at this enterprise in two shifts.

Six 13-story apartment buildings will be constructed from the both sides of the enterprise.  President Rahmon laid foundations bricks of these residential buildings that will have 800 apartments.

A modern diagnostic center was build across the street from the clothing enterprise, the president’s website said.
