DUSHANBE, December 1, 2014, Asia-Plus — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament discussed a draft law on diplomatic service at a December 1 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker, Shukurjon Zuhurov.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board has decided to submit the draft law for detailed consideration the Majlisi Namoyandagon committees and commissions.

The board also discussed bills proposing amendments to the country’s laws on the copyright and associated rights and permit system and the civil procedure code.

The board decided to table the issue of ratification of an agreement between Tajikistan and the Islamic Development Bank on the technical assistance to support the project aimed at preventing mother-to-child HIV transmission to the agenda of the next sitting of the sixth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation, Sultonov said.
