DUSHANBE, January 7, 2015, Asia-Plus — The Majlisi Namoyandagon today endorsed the draft law on advocacy.

Speaking at the session, the Minister of Justice, Rustam Shomurodzoda, noted that the law aims to improve the quality of services provided by attorneys to the population.

“To raise their professional skills Tajik attorney now have to take refresher courses every five years,” the minister said, adding that more than 2,000 lawyers are now engaged in advocacy activity in Tajikistan.
