DUSHANBE, April 6, 2015, Asia-Plus — Three Afghan drug traffickers have reportedly been detained with a large amount of drugs in the Tajik southern province of Khatlon.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, an operation carried out by officers from the Interior Ministry’s office for Khatlon in the Farkhor district on April 3 led to the arrest of three armed Afghan drug traffickers.

A large amount of drugs was confiscated from them.  A totaled reportedly included 38.815 kilograms of hashish and 19.002 kilograms of raw opium.  Besides, TT pistol was confiscated from them.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug traffickers and an investigation is under way.
