Current gold and currency reserves of Tajikistan reportedly estimated at more than TJS 3.15 bln

DUSHANBE, May 19, 2015, Asia-Plus — As of April 30, 2015, Tajikistan’s gold and currency reserves amount to more than 3.15 billion somoni (TJS), which is equivalent to 503.52 million U.S. dollars.

According to the National Bank of Tajikistan, the country’s monetary gold reserves now amount to 2.18372 billion somoni and the country’s currency reserves now amount to 967.32 million somoni.      

Tajikistan’s currency basket reportedly includes the U.S. dollar, the euro, the pound, the Swiss franc, the yuan, the Swedish krona, the Norwegian krone, etc.

We will recall that as of December 31 2014, Tajikistan’s gold amounted to approximately 1.6 billion U.S. dollars, which was 12.5 percent more than in 2013.

As of December 31, 2013, Tajikistan’s gold and currency reserves were estimated at 1.0715 billion U.S. dollars, which was 10.2 percent more than in 2012.

Tajikistan’s gold and currency reserves in 2012 were estimated at 972 million USD, which was 170.4 million USD more than in 2011.
