DUSHANBE, July 16, 2015, Asia-Plus – Thirty-one countries of the world have provided more than 21. million U.S. dollars worth of nearly 8,600 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first six months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the same six-month period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from Germany – 39.8 percent; the Netherlands – 12.4 percent; Denmark – 8.7 percent; the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 8.1 percent; Austria – 4.6 percent; Afghanistan – 4.0 percent; India – 3.4 percent; Latvia – 3.2 percent; Iran and Kuwait – 2.3 percent each; China – 1.8 percent; Greece and Norway – 1.3 percent each; France – 1.2 percent; and others.
