DUSHANBE, July 27, 2015, Asia-Plus — Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda visited the disaster-affected villages in the Rasht district on July 25 on the instructions of the president, a source in the government told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, the main purpose of the visit was for the prime minister to get acquainted with the pace of mitigation of the disaster effects.

Rasoulzoda also handed over financial assistance to families whose residential buildings were completely destroyed or partially damaged by recent mudslides and floods. 

We will recall that mudslides and floods caused by torrential rains completely destroyed 35 houses and partially damaged eight houses in the villages of Bedak and Khalkarf in the Rasht district.  Residents of the disaster-affected villages have been provided with food products, electricity, communications and building materials.       

Families, whose residential buildings were destroyed completely, received 10,000 somoni each and families, whose residential buildings were damaged martially, have received 6,000 somoni each.
