DUSHANBE, July 28, 2015, Asia-Plus — Barqi Tojik power holding (a national integrated power company of Tajikistan) now owes about 757 million somoni (equivalent to more than 20 million U.S. dollars) to both Sangtuda hydroelectric power plants (HPPs).

Davron Ishoqi, the deputy head of Barqi Tojik, told reporters in Dushanbe on July 28 that Barqi Tojik now owes about 497 million somoni to the Sangtuda-1 HPP and about 260 million somoni to the Sangtuda-2 HPP.

Over the first six months of this year, Barqi Tojik’s debt to the Sangtuda-1 HPP has reportedly increased by 57 million somoni and its debt to the Sangtuda-2 HPP has increased by 70 million somoni.   

The Barqi Tojik accounts payable have reportedly exceeded o1 billion somoni.

Besides, Barqi Tojik’s tax debts amount to 152 million somoni.

Meanwhile, the national integrated power company’s accounts receivable have reportedly exceeded 1.1 billion somoni.
