DUSHANBE, August 12, 2015, Asia-Plus — On 11 August, the members of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan, invited to Istanbul by the party leader, Muhiddin Kabiri, for the period of 5 – 10 of August, returned to Dushanbe.

As “AP” was informed by the source in IRPT that the issues discussed during the political council meeting of the party held in Istanbul included preparation to the next congress of party, rising pressure from the authorities towards the party members and the possible turnover of the party’s leadership.

It was stressed out that the IRTP, as it always has been, is against creating limitations for the party’s activities, and pressure on its followers as well as always adheres to political tolerance.

The leader of IRPT has asked the members of the party to continue acting within the current legislation of the country.

During the Istanbul meeting the political council of the IRPT discussed issues related to the youth joining the terroristic and extremist groupings. It has been decided that there is a need to use the overall potential of the party for conducting preventive measures among the youth in this direction.

The political council of the party was asked to start preparing for the next congress of the party.
