Dushanbe. 18 August. “Asia Plus” — In seven months of this year Tajik industrial enterprises produced goods worth about 6.3 billion somoni (more than $ 1 billion at the current exchange rate). In comparison with the same period last year, the volume of industrial production has increased by 13.4% in comparable prices, was stated in the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

In the Agency the growth of industrial production is associated with “the growth in the textile and clothing manufactory, leather, leather products and footwear, woodworking and production of wood, pulp and paper production, publishing and printing industry, chemical industry, production of other non-metallic mineral products, metallurgical production and production of finished metal products, electricity and so etc”.

Among the 90 most important types of industrial production in the period from January to July this year the production of 47 items (52.2%) have increased, 30 (33.3%) reduced and 13 items (14.4%) were not produced at all.

Meanwhile, the volume of the mining industry have increased by 18.3% at the expense of coal, lignite – by 5.5%, oil – by 2.8%, gas – by 1.6%, non-metallic materials – by 28,1%.

The volume of production of petroleum products has decreased by 52.7% due to lower production of gasoline (23%), diesel fuel (41%), oil (43%) and bitumen (42.2%).
