DUSHANBE, September 14, 2015, Asia-Plus – Russian President Vladimir Putin is arriving in Dushanbe today evening to participate in a summit meeting of the Collective Security treaty Organization (CSTO) that will take place in the Tajik capital on September 15.

The CSTO heads of state are expected to hold separate meetings before the summit to discuss ties.

, Putting will hold talks with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon to discuss problems related to destabilization of the situation in Tajikistan.

Russian media sources on September 11 cited the Kremlin”s top foreign policy aide as saying that Putin will also discuss with Rahmon what Moscow can do to help Tajikistan.

“We are ready to provide assistance one way or another, as well as political support, and I think this matter will be one of the key ones during talks,” Yuri Ushakov told reporters on September 11.

Asked if Russia could offer military assistance to Rahmon, Ushakov said: “I don”t know in what way the discussion will develop.”
