DUSHANBE, December 14, 2015, Asia-Plus — A two-stage Anti-drug Operation, dubbed Kuknor 2015 (Poppy 2015), concluded in Tajikistan on November 30.

This year, the anti-drug operation was reportedly launched May 20 and ran through November.

According to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press center, 2,830.643 kilograms of narcotics have been seized during this year’s anti-drug operation.

A totaled reportedly included 352.153 kilograms of heroin, 641.677 kilograms of raw opium, 1,391 kilograms of hashish and 445.747 kilograms of cannabis.

This annual operation, involving representatives of law enforcement agencies, local authorities, ministries of agriculture and health, as well as the committee for TV and radio-broadcasting, is dedicated to detect and destroy drug crops across the country.
