DUSHANBE, January 4, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajikistan has reportedly organized export of cement to neighboring Afghanistan.

According to the press center of the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan, 12 heavy trucks carrying 370 tons of cement proceeded via the Panji Poyon border crossing on the Tajik-Afghan border in late December.

Huaxin Gayur Cement Co., Ltd (a cement plant in the Yovon district of Khatlon province) reportedly signed an agreement with Afghanistan’s Shamal Sharq in early December on supplying 500 tons of cement to Afghanistan.

We will recall that the Yovon cement plant (Huaxin Gayur Cement Co., Ltd) was introduced into operation in late September last year.  Operated by Tajikistan-China joint venture, Huaxin Gayur Cement Co., Ltd, this coal-powered enterprise now produces two types of cement – M-400 and M-500.

Huaxin Gayur Cement Co., Ltd is a Tajikistan-China joint venture.  It was established by Huaxin Zhongya Investment (Wuhan) Co., Ltd, the subsidiary of Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd, and Gayur Limited Liability Company.  Huaxin Zhongya Investment (Wuhan) Investment Co., Ltd assumes the 75% ownership interest and Gayur Limited Liability Company owns 25 percent of the shares in Huaxin Gayur Cement Co., Ltd.

The latest technologies were reportedly used to build the Yovon cement plant with annual capacity of one million tons.  The plant reportedly meets regional environmental requirements.
