DUSHANBE, March 9, 2016, Asia-Plus – A chief surgeon at the hospital of the Main Border Directorate of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) faces corruption charge.

According to the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, Qahhor Sattorov has been caught red-handed while taking 16,000 somoni from local resident for exempting his son from military service.

Sattorov reportedly demanded 4,000 U.S. dollars for exemption of his son from military service and he received 2,000 U.S. dollars in November last year.

Sattorov was caught red-handed recently on the Ayni Street while taking the remaining part of the sum (16,000 somoni; equivalent to 2,000 USD at the rate of 1.00 U.S. dollar = 8.00 somoni); an investigation is under way, the anticorruption agency said.
