DUSHANBE, April 5, 2016, Asia-Plus – Lieutenant General Rustam Nazarzod, Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES) under Government of Tajikistan, has received Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Yu Bin, according to the CES press service.

The two reportedly discussed issues related to further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and China on the disaster risk reduction problems.

Nazarzod informed Chinese diplomat on measures taken by the Government of Tajikistan to mitigate effects of natural disasters that hit the country last year.

Chinese diplomat, for his part, noted that his country would continue providing assistance to Tajikistan in reducing disaster risks and strengthening the CES potential.

Nazarzod and Yu also discussed organization of retraining and language courses for the CES specialists, the CES press service said.
